ChickenPing can synchronize with a Windows Mobile phone or PDA if ChickenPing Mobile is installed.


ChickenPing can synchronize with a Windows Mobile phone or PDA if ChickenPing Mobile is installed. ChickenPing is available for both Windows Mobile 6.5 and Windows Phone 7. Contents

Windows Phone 7

  1. Click Synchronize from the main menu to start synchronization.
  2. Click Start Server. This starts ChickenPing listening for connections from the phone.

  1. On the phone, click Sync. Enter the name of the PC and correct port number, then Upload. This sends the database to the PC where it can be synchronized.

  1. On the PC, click Synchronize on the Windows Phone 7 tab. The database now contains all recipes from the PC and Phone.
  2. On the Phone, click Download to copy the merged database. Do not close the window until "Download Complete" appears on the phone display.

After synchronization, both databases will contain all recipes. Eg: If A and B exist on the PC and C and D exist on your PDA, after synchronizing, A,B,C and D will exist on both.

  1. Click Synchronize from the main menu to start synchronization. ChickenPing will try to read the location of the database from your PDA.

  1. Click the Windows Mobile 6.5 tab.
  2. Click either Synchronize, Copy from Device or Copy to Device

After synchronization, both databases will contain all recipes. Eg: If A and B exist on the PC and C and D exist on your PDA, after synchronizing, A,B,C and D will exist on both.
